The Potential of Time Matters and MS Office365

Although we should probably put together a case study, many law firms are finding greater success using cloud based collaboration tools with integration’s to their practice management systems.  The transitions are seamless and the users are still in their comfort zone using the same Microsoft office applications they are used to.   Most of these firms are reducing costs at the same time with less in-house need for servers and IT resources.  One of the least disruptive and most fruitful systems to put in the cloud are collaboration tools (email, shared docs – calendars, IM, video conferencing…)  There are clearly choices out there for cloud collaboration tools from hosted exchange, Google Apps, Microsofts Office365, etc.  Shortly after O365’s entry to the market we began deploying it for our clients and have had nothing but positive experiences – fantastic!  There are many benefits to using Office365 for a company currently running a Microsoft Exchange server onsite, which you can read on the Office365.com website.

For users of the Lexis software Time Maters, this means mobile, tablets and in office systems can be more in sync than ever.  The nuances of each companies IT setup vary but the capability and features are there to provide a more consistent user interface across all your screens and devices.  Notably the ability to sync your email, contacts and calendar with your in-office TimeMatters can be valuable to attorneys and support staff on the go, from home or anywhere they have access to the internet.
